Normally check-in opens at 2pm and check-out is by 10am. However, we are flexible to your needs to please feel free to ask us if a different time is available. We will do everything we can to accommodate you. Luggage storage is available from arrival regardless of check-in time. You are able to check in at anytime during the night if your plane arrives late. .
You are able to check in at any time to Kiwi Basecamp – but you do need to let us know in advance when you will arrive so we can make arrangements for you. If you are flying into Christchurch in the early morning you would need to book the night before in order to have your bed or room available for when you arrive. Otherwise normal check-in time is 2pm. Luggage storage is available 24/7.
We are situated on the corner of Bealey Avenue and a quiet side street. Therefore we have a reasonable amount of parking space on-street for several cars. We ask that you let us know if you are bringing a car but there won’t be a problem. It is common sense as with anywhere to lock your car and not store any valuables inside.
There are lockable storage areas in the rooms for any bags and valuables. For any other guests, we are more than happy to keep your smaller valuables (anything laptop-sized and below) locked away on your behalf.
Inside the lodge is strictly non-smoking. If the fire alarms are set off there is a large fine and if found responsible you will be charged. You are able to smoke outside, but we ask you to do so away from the building in consideration for others.
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol into the lodge for your own consumption but we ask you not to drink in your room. There is the main TV lounge, dining room and chill out areas for that. We wish you to have fun and a good experience with us… However, we are not a party hostel and will not tolerate disruptive or loud drunken behaviour for the sake of other guests.
